There is nothing quite like the energy in the room There is nothing quite like the energy in the room during the Hora. Guests linking hands, circling the couple, the moment they’re lifted up into their chairs high above the crowd, holding onto either end of a napkin, laughing and a little terrified all at once. It’s one of the loudest, most joyful bursts of celebration in any Jewish wedding, and I always make sure I’m ready for it! It’s It so much fun to be a part of this kind of energy - fun fact: I even broke my nose once while photographing the hora.

Swipe through a few of my favorite Hora moments from recent celebrations.

I wrote a full guide covering the traditions I photograph throughout a Jewish wedding day, from the Ketubah signing to the chuppah to the Hora, and what each moment means. Link in bio if you want to read more.

The details you spend months planning deserve thei The details you spend months planning deserve their own post.

My favorite detail? The pockets on Julia’s gown!

The invitation suite sets the tone before anyone even walks through the door. For Julia and Will’s wedding at Temple Beth Am, that tone was something classic and romantic cornflower blue, hydrangea-lined envelopes, script so pretty you frame the invitation instead of filing it away. Every detail that followed told the same story.

The pearl-dotted veil. The tightly wrapped bouquet of white garden roses. The floral charger plates at the sweetheart table with soft blue votives and delphinium in every shade from pale periwinkle to deep violet.

Towering centerpieces that filled the room with color from the floor up. It all connected back to the first card guests pulled from that blue envelope.

Jennifer and Jonathan chose not to do a first look Jennifer and Jonathan chose not to do a first look, and watching Jonathan’s face as she walked down the aisle, I understood exactly why. There is nothing quite like that first real look between two people getting married, no rehearsal, no do-over, just pure emotion in real time. 🤍

They were married by two family friends and wrote their own vows, and honestly, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room, including mine. The tears, the nervous laughter, the way two people who love each other can barely get through their own words. It’s real, and it’s one of the reasons I love wedding photography.

And their chuppah designed by Petal Productions was amazing, scroll to see more of against the backdrop of the Alhambra ballroom at the Biltmore. Choosing a venue with stunning indoor and outdoor spaces is such an important part of your venue decision.

One year ago today, Lauren and Val stood together One year ago today, Lauren and Val stood together under the palms at The St Regis Bal Harbour and said “I do” with the ocean as their witness. I still think about that ceremony often, the way Val couldn’t stop smiling as Lauren walked down the aisle on her father’s arm, the quiet joy on both their faces during their first kiss as husband and wife.

Then that reception. The mirrored ballroom, those soaring crystal and rose centerpieces that seemed to float above the tables, and Lauren and Val sharing their first dance surrounded by the people who love them most. It was pure elegance from start to finish, and it’s still one of my favorite weddings to look back on.

Happy one year to a couple who made every single detail feel effortless and full of love. Here’s to many more anniversaries by the water. 🤍

I always try to build in a little extra time for p I always try to build in a little extra time for portraits right after your ceremony, even just ten or fifteen minutes. That’s usually when the light is at its best, and it’s also when the emotion of just getting married is still fresh.

This is exactly where buffer time goes a long way. Save this for your planning binder!

Couples searching for a classic Miami or Coral Gables wedding photographer who knows how to make the most of golden hour and a well-paced timeline will find that’s exactly what I love creating at Ambrosio Photography.
Timeless is always in style, and I love seeing cou Timeless is always in style, and I love seeing couples find meaningful ways to honor their families on their wedding day. Annie walked down the aisle at Vizcaya wearing her mom’s wedding gown, giving something already so special an entirely new chapter.

Classic, personal, and a beautiful reminder that some things never go out of style.

Just before family portraits, her mom saw her in it for the first time and you could feel the joy in knowing your gown gets to share the love of another ceremony. That’s the thing about heirloom pieces, they carry so much more than fabric and lace. 🤍

If you’re thinking about incorporating something of your mom’s (or grandmother’s, or sister’s) into your wedding day, there are so many beautiful ways to do it that don’t require wearing the full gown down the aisle. A few of my favorites: wearing your mom’s dress as your welcome party or rehearsal dinner look instead, having a small piece of her gown sewn into the lining of yours, borrowing your sister’s veil, tucking a swatch of lace from an heirloom dress into your bouquet, or simply carrying a piece of family jewelry, a brooch, a locket, a pair of earrings.

However you choose to do it, these details connect your day to the people who came before you, and they photograph beautifully every time.
