I’ve been photographing weddings in South Florida for 20 years, working with couples throughout Miami, Miami Beach, Palm Beach, Boca Raton, and Key West who want classic portraits, real emotion, and a photographer who covers every moment of the celebration.
Hi, I’m Stacey – a wedding photographer based in Miami Beach, and I’ve been doing this for twenty years.
That’s two decades of wedding days. Twenty years of reading rooms, anticipating moments, and knowing exactly when to step back and when to step in. It’s a long time, and I don’t take it lightly.
I started my career in photojournalism shooting college athletics and professional sports. That background shaped everything. I’m fast. I’m observant. I’m trained to find the real moment, not the version of it that’s been staged for a camera. When I moved into wedding photography, it was a natural fit because real storytelling is the whole point.
My style blends timeless portraiture with a documentary approach — and that combination is intentional. I’m not chasing whatever’s popular on Instagram this season. I’m making photographs that will look just as beautiful on your 20th anniversary as they do the week after your wedding.

For most of the time, I’m moving quietly alongside you, watching, anticipating, capturing what’s genuinely happening. The look between you and your dad before you walk down the aisle. Your partner’s face in the moment before the kiss. Your grandmother laughing at something no one else caught.
For portraits and family photos, I step in with a calm, clear hand and direct so you end up with images that are both polished and real. You’ll never feel like you’re performing for a camera.
The couples I work with tend to say the same thing afterward: “We forgot you were there — and then we opened our gallery.”

I keep your timeline moving without making it feel rushed. I manage family portraits so you’re not standing in the South Florida heat for forty-five minutes while someone figures out where Uncle Eddie went.
I’ll hold your bouquet, get you water, cue your partner when to look, and quietly make sure the moments that matter don’t slip by unnoticed.
Because here’s what I genuinely believe: the day belongs to you, your partner, and the people you love most. My job is to document all of that beautifully without ever getting in the way of it. When you barely notice me while you’re dancing and having the time of your life — that’s when I know I’ve done my job right.

I meet with every couple before booking :coffee, lunch, or a Zoom call if you’re planning from out of state. By the time your wedding day arrives, I’m not a stranger with a camera. I’m someone you already know.

I was born here. I raised my family here. And I genuinely believe in showing up for this city the same way I show up for the couples I photograph — with intention and without making it about me.
I’m actively involved in two organizations that are doing real, meaningful work right here in our community:

If you’re the kind of couple who values community, who gives back, and who believes that showing up for people is just part of being a good human — we’re probably going to get along really well. When I need to reset, there are two things that never fail me: music and the ocean.
Music has always been part of how I experience the world. There’s a reason I pay attention to what’s playing during your reception, why I notice the song choice for your first dance, why I know the energy in the room shifts the moment the right song drops. Music moves people and moving people is kind of my whole job.
And the ocean? The water has a way of putting everything back in perspective and is the best reset.

QUESTION
How many hours of wedding photography coverage do I need for a South Florida wedding?
ANSWER
My wedding collections include 8 to 10 hours of coverage – enough to capture everything from getting-ready photos through the first dance, with room to breathe in between. Whether you’re getting ready at a hotel on Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale or a private estate in Palm Beach, I’ll walk through your timeline with you and recommend what actually fits your day rather than pushing a one-size package. If you’re planning something smaller – 50 guests or fewer, whether it’s an intimate ceremony in Coral Gables or an elopement in the Keys – I also offer intimate collections built specifically for that.
QUESTION
Will Stacey Ambrosio personally photograph my wedding, or will it be an associate?
ANSWER
Me – always. Once you book Ambrosio Photography, I’m the photographer behind the camera, whether your wedding is in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, or Palm Beach. I don’t hand weddings off to associates. Every collection also includes a trained assistant who carries equipment, holds your bouquet, wrangles family for group photos, and keeps the day running smoothly. Whether you also need a second shooter depends on your venue and timeline. A groom getting ready in Coral Gables while the bride gets ready across town in Miami Beach, a large guest list, or two ceremony locations are all situations where a second photographer earns their keep. I’ll tell you honestly if I think you need one.
QUESTION
Do wedding photographers meet with couples before booking, and do you offer video consultations?
ANSWER
Always. I meet with every couple in person! Coffee, lunch, wherever’s easy – before you book, so we can make sure we’re a good fit for each other. Planning from out of state or out of the country? A Zoom call works just as well. About 30 days before your wedding, we connect again (or I coordinate directly with your planner) to lock in the final timeline, whether that’s a Miami hotel ballroom or a Palm Beach estate.

What is a classic and timeless wedding photography style, and is it candid or posed?
ANSWER
It’s both, and we talk through the balance together before your wedding day. For most of the day – getting ready, the ceremony, the reception – I shoot documentary-style: watching, moving, and capturing what’s actually happening rather than staging it. There’s a particular kind of golden hour light along the Intracoastal in Palm Beach I never get tired of chasing. For portraits and formal family photos, I step in and direct so you walk away with polished, classic images, not just candids. You’ll get a suggested shot list from me ahead of time so no one important gets missed.

How many wedding photos do you get from a photographer, and how long does editing take?
ANSWER
Your full, retouched gallery is delivered 4 to 6 weeks after your wedding. On average, expect 75 to 100 fully edited images per hour of coverage. I never cap what I shoot, so you get the complete story of your day, not a pre-set limit. Everything is delivered print-ready at full resolution, and your online gallery stays live for a full year from your wedding datee.

How do I receive and download my wedding photos after the wedding?
ANSWER
Through a private, password-protected online gallery – nothing gets lost in email or a shared drive. You get full printing rights, so you can download, print, share, or email any image, at any resolution, whenever you want. The gallery stays active for one year from your wedding date.

Do you photograph weddings outside Miami Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, or the Keys?
ANSWER
Yes! South Florida is home base, and I regularly photograph weddings throughout Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and Palm Beach, along with the Keys and destination weddings beyond. If your venue is outside this core area, just ask — travel is easy to work into your collection, and I love an excuse to explore a new location with you.
