A beautiful mix of fall hues at this Flagler Museum wedding in Palm Beach. Summer and Justin were married in the fall, with an outdoor ceremony at the Royal Poinciana Chapel in Palm Beach. The Chapel is located next door to the museum, and is the perfect location for a wedding ceremony.
When the day first started out, as Summer and Justin were both getting ready at the newly-opened Hilton Hotel in Palm Beach, the skies were a bit gray and rainy. But after Summer had slipped into her Pnina Tornai wedding gown, the skies miraculously cleared. The sun peeked through the clouds, and a picture-perfect wedding day began.
A Beautiful Wedding in Palm Beach
We took full advantage of that gorgeous weather for their first look in front of the gates of the historic Flagler Museum. Then we headed to the gardens of the Royal Poinciana Chapel. The weather held for a stunning ceremony underneath the magnificent, 125 year old Giant Kapok tree. The Kapok tree is a signature tree of Palm Beach and sits in front of the intracoastal waterway, right next door to the museum. I seriously couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location, weather, or people.
During the ceremony itself, Summer and Justin brought tears to each other’s eyes with the personal vows that they wrote. You could really feel the connection they shared as Dr. Norris pronounced them husband and wife. It was incredibly moving.
I always try to steal a couple minutes with a couple right before heading to the reception. If it’s possible, this is best done at sunset for those perfectly-lit wedding images. I was lucky enough to get some images of Summer and Justin together before the party started, and those ended up being my favorite photographs of the whole day!
Everyone headed to the Flagler Museum for an amazing evening at the Flagler Kenan Pavilion, which has Henry Morrison Flagler’s private railway car. Guests were able to enjoy cocktails on the intracoastal as the sun set over Palm Beach, and we were able to listen to hilarious speeches by the maids of honor and the best man—Justin’s twin brother. And then, once Rock With U got the party started, everyone hit the dance floor all night long.
Justin & Summer, thank you for the opportunity to be part of your wedding. From the moving vows to the hilarious speeches, every moment of your wedding day was reflective of your love for each other and your families.
